Owl Prowl

Date(s): Fri, 2/23/2024 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Forest Preserve: Homer Lake
Location: Interpretive Center

Why prowl for owls now? Many species are most active in the winter months, because they are breeding or nesting. That means we have a better chance of hearing or seeing a live owl in the wild! This program begins indoors with a presentation, and participants will have the chance to dissect owl pellets and take them home. $3 per person. Recommended for ages 4 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited; registration is required by February 21 at ccfpd.org. All attendees (adults and children) must register in advance. For more info: (217) 896-2455 or [email protected].
